My wife's been telling me about the pain in the left side of her pelvic area. The first time I heard it last year I advise her to see her Obstetrician to know what went wrong. Her OBGyne gave her a clean bill saying her uterus is very clean and still very able to bear children. That is why everytime it occur we just considered it as gas pain and we will just find a liniment to relieve her of the pain.
As per description the pain will start as a jolt then in an instant was gone. But these past few days, the pain persisted for several hours. Then yesterday at past 12 o'clock in the morning she woke me up and complained that the pain is no longer bearable. She said the pain radiates to her vulva then down to her left leg. This alarmed me. I immediately packed up and brought her to the hospital 16 kilometers away from home leaving my first grader and my two-year old son to care of my mother.
Along the way, I prayed that it will not be cancer. I was there when the doctor performed IE (cervical exploration to me). We were informed there's a mass found in her left ovary. The doctor threw her complex questions which I perceived are questions associated with cervical cancer. She then advise my wife to undergo trans-vaginal examination (TVE) in the morning.
Around 9 o'clock in the morning, I left my wife to her sister who just arrived while I attend to the scheduled Auction Sale where my company whom I represented is the primary bidder. The Auction Sale went smoothly and I went back again to the hospital just to learn that the cause of my wife's pelvic pain is Mittelschmerz. "What the heck is that?", I mentally asked myself. My sister-in-law tried to explain about this weird sounding "Mittelschmerz" but her explanation just went over my head. My brain refused to process the information. Later after work I'm going to research about this "Mittelschmerz" myself.
